We will have fun stretching, become stronger, celebrate life and learn how to share authentic wisdom from your heart.
Why choose this course?
This Diamond Heart Yoga School 300-hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher Training takes you on a great journey of exploration into the world of yoga. This training focuses on how to intimately join yogic philosophy and asana practice, planting the seeds to successfully navigate life – on and off the mat. Specifically designed for teachers who have already completed a 200-hour teacher training program, this advanced training helps you dive deeper into existing skills and refine them into a richer and more fulfilling practice and teaching experience.
This training offers a rich palette of teachings for the body, mind, and spirit/self. We study and discuss ancient philosophical concepts from the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and the Ashtavakra Gita. We delve into wisdom teachings from Tibetan Buddhism and Tibetan Heart Yoga. Each of these beautiful texts and traditions helps us deepen our understanding of ourselves and how we engage in our world, to become better teachers and human beings. Throughout this 300-hour training, participants will establish a strong foundation in spiritual philosophy and wisdom.
Spiritual and philosophical teachings are joined by asana, pranayama, and meditation study and practice. Familiar asana poses and sequences are expanded upon, as we begin to understand the patterns of prana that are created by various body movements and breathing practices.
We explore pose variations, safe alignment, and pose- and body-specific assisting and adjusting. Alignment is considered holistically, as well as how to sequence to safely get into poses and their more advanced variations, and transitioning between poses. Functional anatomy is highly emphasized, so teachers will leave with a working command of how the body moves. Daily practice-teaching opportunities with ample time for supportive feedback will build confidence and strengthen your teaching skills. Teachers will further leave the training with a greater understanding of meditation techniques and how to facilitate guided meditation.
This training even incorporates elements of acupuncture, herbology, nutrition, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Tui Na and massage, as well as Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara and other surprises to make it truly unique!
Benefits of this training:
Teach with confidence a Vinyasa flow or Hatha style class for all levels, including injury prevention and management, and contraindications
Learn safe hands-on adjustment and alignment techniques
Develop a meditation practice and competently guide others in meditation
Gain an understanding of the subtle body and movement of prana

Holding retreats at Los Nogales helps the conservation of this very special Unesco Biosphere Reserve "Macizo de Peñas Blancas" inside the huge tropical jungle of BOSAWAS. All our practices are ecological, our land has been reforested for the past 8 years, we have been mostly planting trees and letting the land recover from strong agricultural practises and cattle fields. In the past we also did cultural work with the local community by teaching them capoeira, yoga, english and art.
A percentage of the benefits of our retreats goes to a food security project for the local primary school where our son Nogal and all local kids go to. The structures we have built have the lowest impact on the land, quite simple and made out of natural materials helping us to live as simply as possible, closer to nature and getting back to our roots. The cabins are shared between 4 to 6 people maximum. Toilets are shared (2 compost toilets and 2 biodigesters ones) and showers are open air.
